SAN DIEGO – For those who plan to venture downtown San Diego during Comic-Con, we’ve found the best way to get there.
First of all, parking is extremely limited and can be costly.
The Metropolitan Transit System tends to be the most efficient transportation option. It has two stops just steps away from the San Diego Convention Center. MTS runs a special schedule for the trains during the 4-day pop culture event. Trains run every 7.5 minutes from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Getting to Comic-Con is just a quick trolley ride from Mission Valley, Old Town, Qualcomm Stadium and park-and-ride facilities all over the city. There’s free parking at Qualcomm Stadium. At Hazard Center, free parking is available on the lower level (in the evening on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday; and all day on Saturday and Sunday). For location and parking information for other Trolley stations, check this Trolley station list.
To save time at the trolley, MTS officials recommend buying a trolley pass directly from the smartphone.
