Brush fire burns in Carlsbad

SAN DIEGO — Firefighters are working to knock down a brush fire at the base of a hill in Carlsbad.

The 30 by 30 feet fire was reported at 5:09 p.m. near the intersection of Gibraltar and Romeria streets.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
