A baby stroller was left behind in a shooting that injured at least two people in Bay Terraces.

SAN DIEGO — A midday street shooting in a Bay Terraces-area neighborhood left two women wounded Tuesday afternoon.

Witnesses reported hearing a half-dozen or more shots in the area of Appian Drive and South Woodman Street and seeing a man fleeing about 12:30 p.m., according to San Diego police.

Officers found no victims at the scene of the gunfire, but two women, ages 19 and 21, showed up at Paradise Valley Hospital in National City roughly 15 minutes later. Their conditions were not immediately available, SDPD spokesman Matt Tortorella said.

The shooter may have driven off in a dark-colored sedan, according to police. No detailed description of him was available as of mid-afternoon.

A witness told FOX 5 two women were injured in the shooting.
