SAN DIEGO – Police were investigating a deadly drive-by shooting in San Diego’s Lincoln Park neighborhood Monday night.

A red four-door car, possibly a Honda or a Nissan, was stopped near the intersection of 47th Street and Logan Avenue near Sundance Market around 10:45 p.m. when one of two men inside yelled at two other men walking on the street, police said. The men in the car then opened fire on the two pedestrians, San Diego police acting Lt. Manny Del Toro said.

The shooters sped off and headed east on Logan Avenue.

One of the two pedestrians was shot several times in the torso and collapsed in the middle of the street, according to police. Paramedics attempted to revive the man, but he died. His name has not yet been released. No one else was hurt.

No good description of the suspects was available. Anyone with information is asked to call police.

For your information. He was not in a gang! He was in a gang area but he lived there! The guy who was shot was my friends brother in law. He was a good man, friend and father and had another baby on the way which he will never meet!

I don’t believe they meant the victim was a gang member, just that the shooters may have been. Sorry for your loss. Prayers to all the families in SD losing loved ones to this nonsensical violence.

It is very sad that many people go around taking other people lives. It really saddest me because these two people were expecting to get home and wake up the next day and head to work or school or take care of their love one. I HOPE for GODS sake they turn themselves in that would be the righteous way to go. Prayers to the family.

What’s sad is people talking about someone’s child someone’s father but yet because he’s a black man he has to be all this and that America needs to kill the hatred.
