SAN DIEGO — San Diego police were on the lookout Monday for a woman who allegedly stabbed a 62-year-old driver and ran off after his SUV crashed in the Colina del Sol neighborhood.

The victim picked up the woman, who was an acquaintance, on El Cajon Boulevard near 52nd Street around 8:30 p.m. Sunday, but the two got into a fight shortly after, according to San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros. The motive was not immediately clear.

The suspect pulled a knife and stabbed the driver in his forearm and chest, which caused him to crash his Nissan Xterra into a light pole, Delimitros said. His wounds were not considered life-threatening.

Delimitros said the suspect ran off after the crash, but police know who she is.
