Kids injured when waterspout lifts bounce house off beach

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Multiple children were injured after a waterspout lifted a bounce house into the air in Fort Lauderdale, witnesses said.

Cellphone video from people on the beach shows the waterspout come in off the water, travel across the sand, topple a canopy and then hit a large bounce house.  The house initially tumbled over multiple times but was then lifted approximately 15 feet in the air before slamming back down to the ground.

According to WFOR, four children were injured, but it is not known if they were inside the bounce house at the time. One child was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
