VALLEY CENTER, Calif. -- Lacrosse teammates since 5th grade, Jason Brewster and Ian Leek's friendship turns into an unstoppable force on the field for Valley Center High School. Head coach Robert Talley describes the two as the heartbeat of the program and credits them with the rise of the lacrosse program.

The three-year varsity captains helped the Jaguars earn a CIF Division 2 championship last year and look to earn another CIF title this year as seniors. Brewster has accepted a Division 1 scholarship to the University of Maryland, Baltimore County while Leek is still undecided where he will play next year.

High school boys lacrosse playoffs start May 17.
