POWAY, Calif. – The son of a former Padres player has hit over two dozen home runs during his senior year at Poway High School.

Tyler Nevin plays third base just like his father Phil Nevin did as a Major League Baseball player.

The 6-feet, 3-inches tall, 200 pound Nevin recently signed on to play baseball for UCLA.

Nevin has dreamed of the big leagues since he was just a kid hanging out at the Padres games, where he became popular among Phil’s teammates by impersonating their batting stances.
