How to celebrate Earth Day in San Diego

SAN DIEGO – Wednesday, April 22nd is Earth Day, and there’s no shortage of activities around San Diego county to celebrate.

U.C. San Diego is holding a fair showcasing eco-friendly products at the Geisel Library at 11 a.m . County employees will recycle batteries and light bulbs at the County Administration, which also starts at 11 Wednesday morning.

If you’re looking to get outside, you can head to Moonlight Beach in Encinitas for an Earth Day bonfire, which runs from 6:15 to 9 p.m.

    if we don’t find some new freshwater sources, then we will need to change the name to earth first day as we slip into the mass drought extinction of homo sapiens.
