Man arrested in fatal shooting of bicyclist in East Village

SAN DIEGO — San Diego homicide detectives arrested a 45-year-old man in San Diego Monday in connection with the fatal shooting of a 47-year-old bicyclist in the East Village.

Duane Edward Wicker was shot in the head in the vicinity of J and 15th streets about 4:40 p.m. Saturday, San Diego Police Department Lt. Paul Rorrison said.

Wicker died at UCSD Medical Center the following day, according to Rorrison.

Raphael Davis was taken into custody in the 1200 block of National Avenue about 2:30 p.m.
