Divers search for missing person in Lake Murray
SAN DIEGO – Two divers were searching the waters of Lake Murray Thursday morning after clothing, a backpack and other belongings were found near the shore, San Diego police said.
An assistant reservoir keeper found the clothes, a backpack, an ID, a wallet, and a cellphone at 7:18 a.m. and was concerned that someone may have drowned in the lake, investigators said. She contacted police to help search the area.
A single set of footprints were found leading into the lake. Divers were searching the lake see if they could find any sign of a missing person in the water.
The lake remained open during the search, according to SDPD.
