SAN DIEGO – A fire that damaged a truck in City Heights Monday may be another case of arson, investigators said.

When fire crews arrived at  52nd Place near Colina Del Sol Park around 11:15 p.m., they found a truck with the contents of its bed on fire. A trailer attached to the truck was also damaged by the flames.

Nearly a dozen other suspicious fires have broken out in the same area over the last few weeks, including five arsons on March 13. Police arson investigators were trying to determine if Monday’s is connected to the previous fires.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
