SAN DIEGO - A man was recovering Monday after being stabbed twice in Logan Heights, police said.

The man in his 40s was reportedly drinking with a woman in the 3000 block of Imperial Avenue shortly after midnight. Another man then walked up and stabbed him twice, once in the leg and once in the abdomen, according to Watch Commander Dino Delimitros.

The man was taken to UCSD Medical Center and is expected to be okay. Police remained on the lookout for the suspect and the Gang Unit is investigating.

This comes after a string of violent attacks in the Logan Heights area in recent weeks. On Friday, March 13th, a 22-year-old man was attacked by at least three people before being run down and killed. Police later found the car used in the attack abandoned and set on fire.

That was just two days after another deadly incident in which a man was shot to death in front of his home on the 2200 block of Ocean View Boulevard. Police don't believe these incidents of violence are connected.

Anyone with information on any of these incidents is asked to call police.
