3 hurt in head-on crash in San Marcos

SAN MARCOS, Calif. – Three people were recovering Monday morning after a head-on crash in San Marcos, the CHP said.

Police responded to the crash at 236 Deer Springs Road at 10:22 p.m. Sunday.

Two men were trapped in the car and had to be rescued by firefighters. They were both taken to Palomar Medical Center with major injuries. A third person was also hurt in the crash.

Officials were trying to determine if the two men had just left a wedding before the crash as they were both wearing suits, according to the San Marcos Fire Department.

The cause of the accident remained under investigation.
