SAN DIEGO — A 24-year-old man was stabbed to death early Saturday at a condominium complex in the Oak Park neighborhood.

Police found the dying man in a parking lot in the 1600 block of Pentecost Way near Federal Boulevard around 1:45 a.m., San Diego police Homicide Lt. Mike Hastings said. Medics attempted to save the man’s life, but he died at the scene from stab wounds to his upper torso.

The events that led up to the stabbing were not immediately known, according to the lieutenant. Detectives and forensic specialist were combing the scene for evidence and were trying to find witnesses to the assault.

Hasting said police had identified the victim, but were withholding his name until his family could be notified.

He asked anyone with additional information to call police at 619-531-2293, or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
