9 injured when garage roof collapses at San Luis Obispo party

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – Nine people were injured when a garage roof collapsed Saturday morning during an early St. Patrick’s Day block party in San Luis Obispo, authorities said.

About 30 or 40 college-aged people were standing on the roof when it collapsed, Los Angeles Times reported.

The injured were among thousands of people that attended the block party about a half-mile from the university campus.

Nine people were treated at a local medical center but there were no life-threatening injuries, police said.
