SAN DIEGO — A vehicle crashed into a Dairy Queen restaurant Friday in a shopping center in the Tierrasanta neighborhood.

One person was taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital following the crash about 2:10 p.m. in the 5900 block of Santo Road, just south of state Route 52, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. It was not immediately clear if the person hospitalized was the driver of the vehicle.

A fire dispatcher said the restaurant, which is in the same shopping center as a market and other businesses, only sustained minor damage.
