Truck flips, scattering bricks across road

CARLSBAD, Calif. - A truck carrying a load of  bricks flipped over and blocked several lanes in Carlsbad Wednesday morning, Carlsbad police said.

Three vehicles were involved in the crash on Palomar Airport Road near El Camino Real, which occurred just before 5 a.m. Wednesday. The truck driver was not hurt, but another driver involved in the crash was taken to Tri-County Medical Center.

All westbound lanes on Palomar Airport Road at El Camino Real had to be closed for about an hour while crews cleaned up the spilled bricks and towed off the wrecked vehicles. Several eastbound lanes were also affected.

All lanes reopened around 7 a.m. Wednesday .
