HOUSTON – A Houston woman loves herself so much that she married herself.

Yasmin Eleby vowed that if she didn’t find love by the time she turned 40 years old, she’d throw herself the lavish wedding – and pulled it off, according to NewsFix.

Ten bridesmaids were by Eleby’s side on January 3 at the Houston Museum of African American Culture when her minister sister performed a spiritual service, since it’s technically not legal to marry yourself.

Eleby posted her gratitude towards her family and friends who turned out for her event on Facebook:

"Don’t be afraid to take risks. I’ve learned that family and friends are always willing to welcome you back home if/when you decide to return. Thank you once again to each and every person that took the time out of their busy schedule to help me celebrate turning 40!"
