LOS ANGELES – A billboard for the movie “American Sniper” was vandalized in Los Angeles adding to the controversy surrounding the film.
The vandal used red paint to add the word “murder!” to the billboard at Wilshire Boulevard and Bundy Drive, Los Angeles police said.
The vandalism was not reported, so police will not investigate the incident, LAPD Sgt. Debra McCarthy told the Los Angeles Times.
The Clint Eastwood film is about U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, one of the most lethal snipers in American history.
Some questioned on social media whether Kyle should be presented as a hero in film.
