Sex predator placed in Jacumba

Gary Snavely

SAN DIEGO – Sexually violent predator Gary Gene Snavely has been placed in Jacumba Hot Springs after he was released Monday from a state mental hospital, according to San Diego Sheriff’s Department.

Snavely’s new address falls within the jurisdiction of the Boulevard and Jacumba Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff’s Deputies have notified the community about Snavely’s placement.

Snavely served several years in prison for molesting young girls between the ages of eight and 12 years old in the 80s. He will be required to wear a GPS anklet and will be monitored for an undetermined amount of time.

The residence was selected by the Department of State Hospitals and San Diego Superior Court. Snavely’s address is 45612 Old Highway 80 in Jacumba Hot Springs.
