MONTGOMERY, Ala. — A gun range in Alabama is under fire for their Facebook post showing a baby holding a handgun while being surrounded by rifles.

The owners of the Montgomery Indoor Shooting Complex said they posted the picture to stimulate conversation about child gun safety, WGN reported.

“Primarily here at Montgomery Indoor Shooting Complex, we promote firearm safety, so in order to stimulate a little dialogue. We put a controversial picture in effort to get people’s feedback and get some awareness about that topic,” said Lilly Ann Gibbs, Montgomery Indoor Shooting Complex.

Shortly after the media started reporting on the photo, it was removed from the gun range’s Facebook page. In it's place, a link to the Project Child Safe Facebook page and a video were posted.
