SAN DIEGO — Three people were taken into custody Friday morning following a high-speed pursuit involving a possibly stolen vehicle.

The pursuit began shortly after 1:30 a.m. in Spring Valley when California Highway Patrol tried to pull over a black SUV that had been reported as stolen by its owner.

When the driver drove off, the pursuit reached speeds of up to 100 MPH.

The vehicle ran out of gas in Rancho Santa Fe. Officers shot out the back window to get the three men to surrender. They  now face multiple charges.
