2 airlifted after head-on crash in Alpine

ALPINE, Calif. — Two people were airlifted to a hospital following a head-on collision Wednesday in Alpine.

A gold Hyundai and another car collided around 4:15 p.m. in the 3300 block of Alpine Boulevard, just west of Via La Mancha, California Highway Patrol officials said.

Two people with major injuries were flown to hospitals, according to the CHP and the Heartland Fire & Rescue Department.
