SAN DIEGO -- Every year during the holidays there is that one must-have toy -- and a local company is making it easier for parents to find them.

“We like to consider ourselves the personal digital shopper,” said Vincent Marconi, creator of Price Patrol. “What we are able to do is use your geo position and search a live inventory of stores all around you.”

Users are able to type in the name of the product and allow the app to do the searching for them.

It narrows the search down to the closest stores with the cheapest prices.

“We’ve seen searches go way up lately and especially for the hot toys out there that are difficult to find,” said Marconi.

Price Patrol also confirms whether a toy is out of stock, saving parents the time of going store to store to find a product.

“I’ve been to like five stores so yeah, that would be great,” said Cassie Gantos, mother of two, who has been trying to find her son a Disney fighter jet. “It's pretty crazy. Especially with two kids, it's pretty packed.”

Price Patrol is free to download and can be used to find almost any product sold in stores.
