VISTA, Calif. — A North County teenager was behind bars Tuesday on suspicion of murder in connection with a suspected road rage-related crash that killed another young man in Escondido last week.

Juan Rebollar, 18, allegedly got into a rolling dispute with 19-year-old Jose De Jesus Garcia in the area of Valley and Bear Valley parkways shortly before midnight Friday, according to police.

The two drivers, both Escondido residents, wound up speeding off to the northeast. During the race, Rebollar allegedly crashed his vehicle intentionally into Garcia’s Toyota truck, causing it to skid out of control and smash into a pillar near James Street, Lt. Eric Skaja said. Following the crash, Rebollar fled, according to Skaja.

Medics took Garcia to Palomar Medical Center, where he later died. A companion who had been riding in his pickup was treated for minor injuries, the lieutenant said.

Rebollar was arrested Saturday and booked into county jail in Vista.

US citizens need to realize illegals are better protected by our system then our own residents. This was caused by us, so vote and kick the dead beets our. We need to hold the Republican party responsible if they don’t take action too.
