Gas leak reported in Fallbrook neighborhood

FALLBROOK, Calif. – A natural gas line leak Tuesday morning prompted road closures in Fallbrook.

The incident was reported at 10 a.m. at on Olive Tree Road in a residential neighborhood, according to North County Fire Protection officials.  Traffic was blocked between Overland Trail and Arabian Trail.

Fire officials advised residents to “shelter in place” while utility crews worked to turn off the gas.

The cause of the gas leak was under investigation.

A nearby high school was not affected by the gas leak, fire officials said.
