Stabbing victims’ stories don’t add up, cops say

CHULA VISTA, Calif. — Two men were stabbed and seriously injured at a Chula Vista apartment complex early Tuesday, but police said the victims’ accounts of the attack don’t add up.

a Chula Vista police were sent to the 1800 block of Broadway around 3:00 a.m. after a man reported that he and his stepfather had been stabbed.

Investigators found both men with multiple stab wounds. One man is in his 20s and the other in his 30s. They told investigators that they were jumped by several men, but police said their stories were inconsistent  with the evidence at the scene.

Both victims were taken to UCSD Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Police were interviewing neighbors and investigating the circumstances around the stabbing.
