Man stabbed in fight at Home Depot

SAN DIEGO — A dispute between two men at a Home Depot in Grantville escalated Tuesday into a stabbing that sent one of them to a hospital and left the other under arrest.

The fight at the store in the 5900 block of Fairmount Avenue was reported about 4:45 p.m., according to San Diego police.

Officers responding to the disturbance found a man in his 60s suffering from multiple stab wounds, San Diego Police Department Officer Dino Delimitros said. Medics took him to a hospital. The severity of his injuries was not immediately clear.

About 20 minutes later, officers arrested the suspected assailant, a man in his 30s. His name was not immediately available.

The reason for the dispute was not immediately apparent.
