Authorities investigate Escondido brush fire

ESCONDIDO, Calif. — Authorities Friday worked to determine what sparked a quarter-acre brush fire in an Escondido park on Thanksgiving Day.

The non-injury fire in Kit Carson Park in the 3300 block of Bear Valley Parkway broke out around 6:20 p.m. Thursday, according to Escondido fire Battalion Chief John Tenger.
