Fight over Monopoly game lands woman in jail

HOOKSETT, N.H. – A young woman was charged with assaulting her boyfriend after a game of Monopoly ended in violence, police said.

Hooskett police arrested 21-year-old Alyssa Ferraro at a home outside Manchester, New Hampshire late Sunday night after a domestic disturbance was reported, WBZ-TV reported.

“[Ferraro] got into an argument with her boyfriend over a game of Monopoly and open hand slapped him in the face,” according to a police statement.

The television station reported the boyfriend was not seriously hurt, but Ferraro was charged with domestic violence related to simple assault.

Ferraro was released on $2,000 bail and is expected to appear in court on December 31.
