Window washer survives 11-story fall onto car in San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO — A  construction worker who fell 11 stories and landed on the roof of a moving car in downtown San Francisco survived but suffered life-threatening injuries , police said.

The worker was rushed to a hospital after the fall, which happened just after 10 a.m. in San Francisco’s financial district, the Los Angeles Times reported.

The back of the car the man landed on was crushed, but the driver of the car was not injured, police said.

Fire officials originally told the Times that the man was a construction worker.
