SAN DIEGO — Police and the FBI remained on the lookout Saturday for the man who robbed a bank branch in Rancho Bernardo.

The suspect demanded money shortly after 5 p.m. Friday at the Union Bank at the corner of Bernardo Center Drive and Bernardo Plaza Court, San Diego police Officer Robert Heims said.

He left the bank with an undisclosed amount and drove off in a Toyota Camry, Heims said. The robber was last seen heading north on Bernardo Center Drive.

Police described the suspect as white, 55 to 65 years old and around 5 feet 6. He was wearing a tan hat, a purple sweater and a gray blazer.
