THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — Firefighters used jackhammers to partially dismantle a brick chimney and rescue a woman who became trapped while she was allegedly trying to get into the home of a man she had dated several times, police said.

Firefighters then lubricated the chimney flue with liquid dish soap and hoisted the woman, identified as 30-year-old Genoveva Nunez-Figueroa, out of the chimney by a ladder truck, KTLA reported.

The woman was freed at about 8:20 a.m. on Sunday and taken to a local medical center for evaluation.

The homeowner, who didn’t want to give his name, said he met Nunez Figueroa online and they had gone on about six dates.
