Robbery suspect found hiding in bushes near crime scene

OCEANSIDE, Calif. —  Police arrested a 21-year-old man on suspicion of armed robbery shortly after a holdup at a fast food restaurant.

Christian Perez confessed to five armed robberies, with the latest robbery occurring Wednesday afternoon at the Carl’s Jr. restaurant at 4186 Oceanside Blvd., according to Oceanside police Lt. Aaron Doyle.

Perez was taken into custody shortly after the 3:30 p.m. holdup by OPD officers, who found him hiding with a BB gun in some bushes nearby, the lieutenant said in a statement.

Details about the four other robberies were not immediately released.
