SAN DIEGO – Two gunwielding men burst into a man’s new downtown apartment and robbed him of cash and a cell phone, a police sergeant said.

The 35-year-old victim was inside the unlocked apartment at 900 F St. shortly after 8 p.m. Friday. The two suspects came in and demanded his property, according to San Diego police Sgt. Brad O’Donnell.

The resident handed over his phone and some cash, and the suspects took off on F Street, O’Donnell said. The phone was later found nearby.

Police described both suspects as Hispanic men in their 20s with their faces covered. One of the suspects wore his hair in a ponytail.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the San Diego Police Department at (619) 531-2204.
