SAN DIEGO — Animal control officers seized a second snake from a man who was arrested last week on suspicion of driving while drunk with a python draped around his neck.

Travis Eisner-Young, 27, was arrested Sept. 16 on suspicion of driving his pedicap while drunk. When police found him, he was lying on the snake next to his pedicab. County Animal Services officers seized the snake, which was dehydrated and hungry.

Animal services officers later went to Eisner-Young’s hotel room and seized a boa constrictor after learning that he had another serpent, the Los Angeles Times reported.

The boa constrictor is “in poor condition,” Daniel DeSousa of the Department of Animal Services told the Times.

Both snakes are not at a veterinary hospital that specialized in exotic animals, DeSousa said.
