CHULA VISTA, Calif. — Neighbors pulled a man from his burning duplex Sunday night before firefighters arrived to put out the fire.

Crews were sent to the 500 block of Flower Street just after 9 p.m. after the fire was reported.

Neighbors got several people, including some children, out of the structure before crews arrived, but one of the residents sustained minor burns, authorities said.

The injured man was taken to the UCSD Burn Center for treatment.

Crew quickly extinguished the blaze.

The cause of the fire and the amount of damage were not immediately available.
