Passenger killed when motorcycle crashes

SAN DIEGO — Authorities Monday released the name of a woman killed in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 5 in in Chula Vista.

Sarah Renee Alvarado, 27, was a passenger on a motorcycle whose driver lost control on the E Street off-ramp on the southbound 5 shortly after 3:30 a.m. Saturday, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office and the California Highway Patrol.

The Chula Vista woman was ejected from the bike and died at the scene, officials with the Medical Examiner’s Office said.

The motorcyclist was hospitalized, but a condition report was unavailable.
