2 arrested after car stolen at gunpoint

Stolen CarSAN DIEGO — A car stolen at gunpoint in the Bay Terraces neighborhood early Tuesday was later recovered in National City, and the two suspected carjackers were taken into custody, a police officer said.

The victim was dropping off a friend at the Vista Garden Apartments at 7146 Peter Pan Avenue south of Skyline Drive when he was approached by six or seven men shortly after 3 a.m., San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros said. Two of the suspects pulled guns and took off in the victim’s Saturn sedan, he said.

National City police officers stopped the Saturn shortly before 3:30 a.m. at Euclid Avenue and East Division Street, and arrested the two suspects, police officials said. Their names were unavailable.
