Bubble soccer bounces into San Diego

POINT LOMA, Calif. – Bubble soccer is the newest sport to arrive in San Diego.

bubble soccerThe five on five hybrid sport is a mix of sumo wrestling, bubble wrap and soccer with no goalies, but a whole lot of fun.

Jake Sibley, owner of San Diego Bubble Soccer Chula Vista, said the sports originated in Norway.  He decided to start up events in San Diego, holding the first public event Friday, July 18 at the fields near Otay Ranch Center Mall.
