STOCKTON, Calif. – The arrests of four men in Stockton have been getting a ton of online attention.

Specifically, the mugshot of Jeremy Meeks, 30, has received a considerable amount of attention from people more concerned about his looks than his crimes, Stockton Police Department Facebook page shows.

Meeks along with Terry Bailey, 22, 18-year-old Jurzi Coleman, and 44-year-old Joelin Coleman were arrested Wednesday after police served 11 different search warrants in a sweep dubbed “Operation Ceasefire.”

Police reported a recent increase in crime near Stockton’s Weston Ranch area which led to the sweep.

The four men face felony weapons charges after authorities seized were two rifles, a handgun and a shotgun, police said.

After the news of their arrests was posted to the police department’s and FOX40‘s Facebook pages comments came flooding in.

Comments like “he’s hot” and “is it illegal to be that sexy?” were common posts on Meek’s mugshot.

Meanwhile Terry Bailey, who was arrested for the same crimes during the same police sweep as Meeks, only had a handful of comments.

Is it all in the eyes?
