SAN DIEGO — Police were investigating a report by a 14-year-old girl that she was kidnapped and raped in City Heights Thursday afternoon.

Police interview a 14-year-old girl who claimed she was abducted off a street in City Heights and raped.

The girl, who was under the influence of alcohol, told investigators a man pushed her into his vehicle sometime around 3 p.m. Thursday and took her to a City Heights park, according to San Diego police Officer Frank Cali.

She said she was sexually assaulted in that park before being dropped off somewhere else in the City Heights area, he said.

It was not clear where the girl was allegedly kidnapped from, though it was said to have been somewhere in the City Heights area, Cali said.

The girl flagged down patrol officers for help in the City Heights area around 2:15 a.m. Friday, according to SDPD Acting Captain Chuck Kaye, who added that the department’s Sex Crimes Unit was handling the investigation.

A description of the allegedly kidnapper was unavailable.
