Dead whale washes up by wastewater plant

SAN DIEGO — A whale carcass was found on a Point Loma beach Monday morning .

The whale washed into a small cove just north of the Point Loma Wastewater Treatment Plant on Gatchell Road below the Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery.

The whale appeared to be at least 20 feet long and was possibly a gray whale.
