Carlsbad BodyCARLSBAD, Calif. — Authorities Wednesday released the name of a 58-year-old woman whose body was found with several stab wounds to her torso in a brushy area of Carlsbad.

Camille Millimet Morel was found near the 3700 block of Haymar Drive about 7:30 p.m. Sunday, according to Carlsbad police and the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.

A knife covered in blood and a bedroll Morel may have been using to sleep in the area were each found nearby, police said, adding that it was not immediately clear whether the wounds were self-inflicted or a criminal act.
