House fire leaves 6 homeless

MiraMesaHouseFireSAN DIEGO — Six people were displaced by a fire that caused $450,000 in damage to their two-story home in Mira Mesa early Wednesday, authorities said.

The noninjury fire at 7780 Flanders Drive was reported at 2:07 a.m. and knocked down just under a half-hour later, according to San Diego fire-rescue spokesman Lee Swanson.

Damage was estimated at $300,000 to the structure and $150,000 to its contents, he said.

The cause was under investigation.
