Small canyon fire sparks near I-805

Brush-FireSAN DIEGO – A small brush fire sent a black plume of smoke in the air Tuesday afternoon near Interstate 805.

The fire started around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday near the 6,000 block of Mission Center Road.

No structures were threatened and no reports of injury, according to San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.

Traffic was not effected by the fire.
