State Route 52 closed after rollover accident

SAN DIEGO — Authorities briefly closed westbound state Route 52 Monday to investigate a collision involving at least two cars.

The crash happened  east of Santo Road at around 10:30 a.m. Helicopter video showed two cars in the center median. One of them was overturned on its roof.

At least one person was seriously injured in the accident, according the California Highway Patrol’s website.

The CHP briefly closed all westbound lanes during the accident investigation, but traffic was flowing again normally by 11:25 a.m.

    I can’t imagine how this could happen on a wide open road like the 52. The lack of competent drivers in SOCAL is truly amazing, and embarrassing!
