David Alvarez and Kevin Faulconer both attended Monday’s city council meeting in the afternoon. In the evening they were busy at their respective campaign headquarters.
Both candidates picked up phones at their headquarters and called voters to encourage them to vote Tuesday.
“Reminding them I’ve been on the council for eight years, bringing experience, making the right and tough decisions to turn this city around,” said Kevin Faulconer. “We’re going to reinvest our dollars back into our neighborhoods, a very optimistic view and vision for this city and that’s what I’m talking about here in the final day.”
“My vision for the future which is one that makes sure that everybody has opportunities, that we reinvest in neighborhoods, our infrastructure, making sure that people have opportunities to climb up the economic ladder, that small businesses have a chance to be successful,” said Alvarez.
The polls will be open Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Both candidates have busy schedules.
“Tomorrow morning go vote, take my daughter to school, then go for a little ride around the polling locations on bicycle and then just to try to get people to the polls all day tomorrow,” said Alvarez.
“I’m going to get up and vote first thing when the polls open at 7:00,” said Faulconer. “Then we’re going to be going out door to door from every single neighborhood in this city, reminding people to get out there and vote and I cant wait for Election Day.”
