Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department detectives turned over their investigation to prosecutors on Thursday, and sources said the investigators are seeking a felony vandalism prosecution against the singer.
Bieber is considered a suspect in the egging incident at his neighbor’s home in the 25000 block of Prado Del Grandioso in Calabasas. Authorities said the entertainer could face felony charges because the damage totaled $20,000.
Last month, detectives served a felony search warrant looking for “video surveillance or other relevant evidence” that the singer was involved in the incident.
Jane Robison, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office, said Thursday that prosecutors received the investigation report from the Sheriff’s Department, but that no decision on charges had been made.
Bieber has had a series of run-ins with authorities this year.
